Congratulations on your engagement!

What an exciting time!  We are honored to help you prepare for your vocation to married life.  Here are a few things you need to know.

Requirements for those wanting to be married at St. Mary Church

  • ​One or both parties must be a baptized and active Catholic.​
  • At least one party must be a registered member of St. Mary's Parish or be a daughter/son of a St. Mary's parishioner. If the latter, the person must also be a registered member of a Catholic parish where she/he resides.
  • The applicable party must be a registered, active member of St. Mary's for a minimum of three months before marriage preparation can begin.
  • The couple must check with the parish office at least eight months before the date of the wedding for availability.
  • The couple must participate in all of the appropriate marriage preparation programs offered.
  • The couple must honor the wedding service as a Sacrament; therefore, liturgical guidelines must be followed for the wedding.
