Minutes from January meeting reviewed and approved as written. Reviewed and accepted minutes from Finance Council, Faith Formation Commission, Peace and Justice Committee and Parish Life Committee.
Other: A guideline was implemented in the parish that only kids from last November’s confirmation class could attend this year’s NCYC. Only two students signed up from the approximately 35 in the class. The deadline has passed for sign-up. Concerns regarding the process for sign-up and the low numbers attending were discussed. Will this be the guideline followed in the future? This needs additional discussion prior to next year.
As there were no further items for discussion, we adjourned at 7:40.
The next meeting is March 21, 2023 @ 7:00 p.m. Minutes prepared by Val King
Finance Council – Feb 21, 2023
Present: Scott Danner, Becky David, Kelly Flege, Becky Willson, Joe Barber, Fr Doug Wathier. Also present: Deacon Phil Paladino, Dixie Jacobs.
Monthly Financials: Offertory is about $4,000 above budget. We have received several gifts from mandatory retirement funds, and parishioners are also making building gifts from these investments for a better tax benefit. Utilities are up slightly due to the cold weather, but within budget levels. Archdiocesan taxa came in within budget.
Phase 2 Building Update: The total income plus outstanding pledge balances is $1,484,625. This very close to the goal of $1,500,000. The architects will begin working on constructions, then we will meet with the Archdiocesan Building Commission. Estimated build start will be spring 2024.
