Pastoral Council Meeting 9 – 18 – 18
Attendees: Michelle Even, Renee Aschbrenner, Ruth Schluter, Jennifer Siech, Mary Ann Hinders, Phil Paladino, Wayne Green from F.F.C., and Dan Dufner from Finance Committee. August 21, 2018 minutes were reviewed and approved. Committee Reports: F.F.C.: The CGS is at capacity with 80 children. There are also children doing the traditional program using the Alive in Christ booklet. Adult speaker series will be kicking off the Financial Peace University sometime in January or February. This is a program developed by Dave Ramsey. Finance Committee: More discussion on the building of a rectory. There were questions as to what is the Archbishops vision moving forward. The rest of the meeting focused on the concerns/questions brought forth during the Finance Committee update. Before having more discussion surrounding the building of the rectory, the Finance Committee is seeking more information on other needs of the parish and asking for recommendations from the Pastoral Council with respect to these needs. Other parish committees will be asked what their long-term visions are, not necessarily material needs, in order to determine what to present to the parish. As discussed in previous meetings, both the Finance Committee and Pastoral Council feel it is best to present all of the needs to the parish as one fundraising campaign. .
