Councils & Committees

There are many ways to share your time and talents at St. Mary.  We have several committees that provide leadership and guidance in our parish.

Meeting Minutes

Councils & Committees

Building and Grounds Committee:  Meets quarterly to assist the parish in facility planning and maintenance.  The committee reports to the Finance Council and Pastoral Council.

Cemetery Board: Meets 2-3 times a year to oversee the upkeep and daily operations of our two cemeteries.

Faith Formation Commission: Meets monthly during the school year to provide direction for the faith formation and sacramental preparation programs in our parish.  Members are appointed to 3-year terms.

Finance Council: Meets on the third Tuesday of each month and serves as an advisory body to the Pastor and the Pastoral Council regarding the administration and stewardship of human resources, parish facilities, and parish finances, including the annual budget and long-range financial development.

Liturgy Committee: Meets monthly to provide direction for the worship and prayer experiences in our community.

Parish Life Committee:  Meets once a month and strives to welcome the new parishioner, to foster a sense of belonging for all parishioners, to build and strengthen community in our parish and its outreach efforts, and to assist in the pastoral care of the parish community.

Pastoral Council: Offers counsel to and collaborates with the Pastor to provide the long-range planning which will guide the parish toward its future.  Meets monthly.

Peace and Justice Committee: Meets monthly to provide direction for the charitable financial giving on behalf of the parish, to increase awareness of Catholic social teaching, as well as to coordinate service opportunities.
