Cancellations
It is St. Mary’s policy that if Waverly Shell Rock Schools cancel classes due to weather, that our youth activities (including GOF, youth activities and Confirmation) for that day/evening will be cancelled.
What is youth ministry all about????
- Encouraging teens to have a deeper personal relationship with Jesus.
- Empowering each other ot live as disciples of Jesus Christ in today's world.
- Drawing young people to responsible participation in life, mission, and work of our parish and Catholic faith community.

Please fill this form out once a year - use January 1 or your birthday to remember to complete a new form! A event registration form will be provided specific activities, but we also need this form on file to provide medical & emergency contact information for participants. Thank you!
Do You Have Asthma... Please fill out the asthma medical form annually, so we can provide a safe environment during our events.
Good Friday Stations of the Cross - High School Help Needed
Each year, high school students present the Stations of the Cross on Good Friday through the use of silhouettes and music you listen to on the radio.
Help is needed as readers, actors (always hidden behind the screen), people to run the lights and music, people to help with props.
Practice on Wed. March 28 at 7 pm
Lead the Stations on Good Friday, April 6 at 7 pm
Confirmation students—this will count as a youth activity or parish service project.
High School Lock-In!
March 23, 8pm - March 24, 7am
Games, Movies, Food... very little sleep
but there will be quiet time for all, shhhhhhh!!!
A great NCYC reunion!!!
This is open to 9-12th graders from St. Mary’s and their friends!!!!
Cost is $10.00. Pizza & Pop provided! Bring a snack to share!!
Permission forms a must!!! Check out the parish website, in the church hall or contact Jenny.

Junior High Lock-In
March 17, 8pm - March 18, 7am
Bowling, Games, Movies, Food, very little sleep but there will be quiet time for all, shhhhhhh!!! That is what it is all about!!
This is open to 6-8th graders from St. Mary’s and their friends!!!!
Start at the church at 8pm, then to the Waverly bowling alley from 9-11 pm and back to the church hall overnight!!
Cost is $15.00. Bring extra $ if you want food at the bowling alley. Pizza & Pop at the church at midnight! Bring a snack to share!!

If you have a digital camera, please bring it along with your cord to down load to computer.
Can your group take a picture of something that starts with the letter A? B? C? and so on….Know your ABC’s and have a camera.
Come and have fun!!!
RSVP by Mon. April 23 (so we can get parents to drive—no student will be allowed to drive)

Where???? Good question. Location will be revealed when we get on the bus (within 5 hours of the Waverly) 2 days of service and 1 day of fun!!!
We will be going with the Catholic Church from the Parkersburg area and possibly some Cedar Falls students.
Parents will receive necessary contact info and location prior to our leaving.
Give Jenny your name if you are interested.
We will do a few fundraisers to help with the cost. Cost and more info to come soon!!!

Hosted by WAYM (Waterloo Area Youth Ministers)
Where: Waterloo (we will do service in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area and sleep and participate in activities at a Waterloo Catholic Church.)
One day of service and then one day of sliding at Lost Island WaterPark!!
Estimated Cost is $40 (includes 3 meals, supplies, and admission to the waterpark). More info to come.
Teens Encounter Christ (TEC)
TEC is a three-day Catholic retreat experience for high school seniors.
At TEC you will-
Experience a new enviornment in which to learn and grow;
Meet other Catholic youth who share similiar questions, concerns and hopes;
Encounter Christ, risen and ALIVE today;
Find time to reflect on your life, your relationship with others, your relationship with God and much more!

Calling All Kids Who
Love to Sing...
Kid’s Choir is for children in grades 1-6. We practice on the 1st & 3rd Wed of the month in the church from 5-5:45 pm. We usually sing at 4 Masses per year (at 5:15 or 10 am).
Kid’s choir is much more than singing. We do fun activities together, learn more about music & the Mass. Not sure about kids choir??? — Check it out. If you have any questions, please contact Jenny smc.lit@q.com.
