Saying goodbye is never easy. As many of you have probably heard by now, I have resigned as Coordinator of Faith Formation. This decision was one that was met with a lot of thought, tears and prayer. This past year and half has been a blessing to my life in more ways than I can count. These memories are some of the best in my ministry career. I know it is a saying that is often overused, but it is a saying my mom has said my entire life. “Some people come into our lives and quietly go and some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our heart.” You all have left permanent footprints on my heart; through your hospitality, support and sharing of faith.
As I leave here and move on I am beyond thankful for all you do as a parish for the youth. Your support of youth programs and trips helps to shape the lives of our teens in ways we may not see for year to come. Please continue to support the youth and Michelle Stone (Coord. of Faith Formation) as the year comes to an end and into the future. I have accepted a new position in Cedar Falls at Natural Healing Center of Iowa as well as taking the opportunity to watch my niece, who is due any day now (hopefully by the time you are reading this she is here) and focus on my primary vocation of marriage.
Thank you for welcoming my husband Casey and me in your parish community and for the opportunity to serve and minister with you. Know of my continued and constant prayers for the parish and the youth.
