Martin arrived late for Sunday school. Ms Walter, his teacher, knew Martin was usually very punctual so she asked if anything was wrong.
“No,” replied Martin, “My dad & I were going fishing, but dad said I had to go to church.”
Ms Walter was very impressed & asked, “Did your dad explain why it is more important to attend church than go fishing?”
“Yes!” explained Martin, “Dad said he didn’t have enough bait for both of us.”

Soup-er Bowl

Feb 4-5 Masses…
On Sunday, Feb 5th, 140 million Americans will tune in to the Super Bowl football game. There will be parties with abundant food, friendship and fellowship. At the same time, there will be people worrying about staying warm, finding shelter and a warm meal.
Our youth will hold soup pots at the church doors on "Souper Bowl of Caring" Feb 4 & 5. As you leave Mass, please support the youth of our parish in this effort to "love our neighbors" by giving a monetary donation. All money collected will be given to local food banks.

Please help our neighbors who are hungry. Fill the soup kettles after the Masses with donations! We also accepting non-perishable food items, paper products, toiletries & cleaning supplies for our local food bank.
